After carefully reading “The Necklace,” answer each question in a paragraph, 5-8 sentences, for each question. Please double space. The assignment will be due:
- Has Madame Loisel’s character changed at the end of the story? Why or why not? Support with evidence from the story,
- Analyze the theme of deception, of oneself as well as of others, and the role deception played in Madame Loisel’s downfall. Support with evidence from the story.
- Life Doesn’t Always Turn Out the Way One expects. Support with evidence from the story.
- Character is destiny. One’s. character(personality) will determine one’s fate. Support with evidence from the story.
- Did Madame Loisel’s character (personality) contribute to her downfall? Support with evidence from the story.

submitted, when the “Incomplete” Status changes to “Pending Review.”
