Academic Vocabulary (4/1/2020). Iqbal Chapter 11   pp 82-90 
Immaculate  (n) (p 82): extremely clean; tidy.  The dressing room for Ryanna was immaculate since she’s a neat freak.

liberation (n) (p 82): the act of setting someone free from slavery or imprisonment.  The children fought hard for the liberation of other children across the globe

enthusiasm (n) (p 82):  showing eagerness; pep; excitement.  The girl showed great enthusiasm when her mom told her they would be going to her favorite restaurant 

perseverance (v) (p 82)  the will to keep going past obstacles or difficulty;.  When the track team lost the meet they pushed forward with perseverance and prepared for their next competition.

gleaming (v) (p 83) a smooth surface reflecting light; clean; shine brightly.  Gregory’s mother was gleaming when she opened the door to her surprise birthday party.

reemerging (v) (p 84) to resurface, to reenter. The student’s desire to be successful was reemerging when he began to get good grades.
